Bio
Eric M. Hernandez received the B.S. degree in civil engineering from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. In 2011, he joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Vermont (UVM) as an Assistant Professor and in 2017 was promoted to Associate Professor. In 2018, he was awarded the inaugural Gregory N. Sweeny Green and Gold Professorship in Civil Engineering at UVM. His current research interests include structural health monitoring, stochastic modeling, inverse problems, and Bayesian reliability.
