Healthy pigs - healthy people - sustainable pork production - great food. Pork is the leading global protein source. We know pork is nutritious and nutrient dense, the pig is a tremendous source of biological information for human research, and making progress on all of the above makes this world a little better every day. I work with my colleagues at SDSU to make a difference: farmers- solutions to make them a little more money; researchers - provide creative ideas and insights and reliable information; people - hard working, competent, practical, educated student training; people - healthy food and disease condition research; our shared environment - solutions to feed people while being the best stewards we can be. We might ask a lot of ourselves, but we want to give a lot back.
