Bio
Enrique Pérez Sánchez-Cañete is an Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Granada (UGR). He is a member of the Atmospheric Physics Group (GFAT) of the University of Granada. His research has focused on improving the understanding of underground CO2 dynamics, characterizing the factors involved in its transport and exchange with the atmosphere. His line of research is mainly focused on the exchanges of greenhouse gases at the ecosystem scale, with special attention to CO2. This line of research could be subdivided into five different areas: 1) CO2 exchanges at ecosystem level by using Eddy covariance towers, 2) Underground dynamics of CO2 fluxes using vertical and horizontal profiles in the soil (Gradient Method), 3) Exchanges of CO2 and H2O at plant level, using closed chambers, 4) Exchanges of soil CO2 with chamber systems and 5) Dynamics and exchanges of air masses between caves and atmosphere.
