Dr Khoo Eng Tat is an educator and researcher in HCI, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and game design. He is currently a senior lecturer at NUS EDIC. He was previously an adjunct assistant professor with the same department, and associate faculty of Singapore University of Social Sciences. Eng Tat was a R&D director in a leading VR/AR company, where he led interdisciplinary teams and spearheaded new product development. He later co-founded a VR company and was an engineering & investment lead in a venture capital firm.

He is a board director of AsiaVR Association, a non-profit association that is building VR/AR community. He served as an advisory board member of 2012 New Media Consortium that identified emerging technologies in Singapore education system. He was also the artistic advisor for the 6th Asia-Europe Art Camp, organized by Asia-Europe Foundation.

Eng Tat graduated with a PhD from NUS Mixed Reality Lab and Keio-NUS CUTE Center in 2011. His research contribution in serious games won the ACM SIGGRAPH Sandbox 2008 2nd Best Paper Award. He was a keynote speaker at the 9th World Conference of Gerontechnology.
