Career Trajectory
Bio
I began my research career with a keen interest in psychosis propensity and factors commonly involved in the psychosis continuum. After completing my PhD, I developed a passion for understanding individual differences (such as personality and psychopathology) and psychological and daily functioning. The practical outcomes of this research have been identification of potential targets for intervention (for example working memory) to improve everyday functioning, and ultimately increase individual’s resilience to stresses and difficulties of everyday life. I also have a passion for health research with functional outcomes.
I aim to develop a program of research which focuses on understanding the complex nature of social and cognitive functioning in everyday life and identifying the mechanisms which may underlie impaired functioning in these areas. I enjoy working with others and using the skills I have developed to support research collaborations. I have strong experience in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses which have resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications in internationally ranked journals to date.
