个人简介
Emanuel Larsson was born in Linköping, Sweden, in October 1986. He received the M.Sc. degree in Engineering Biology, devices and materials in biomedicine/biophysics from Linköping Institute of Technology, Linköping University (LiU), in 2010, and a joint PhD degree in Molecular Physics and Information Engineering from LiU and University of Trieste (UNITS), Trieste, Italy, in 2015. From 2010 to 2015, he was stationed as a Master thesis worker and later on as a PhD student at the SYnchrotron Radiation for MEdical Physics (SYRMEP) beamline at the Italian Synchrotron Light source Elettra, Trieste, Italy. In 2016, he was a Guest Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, Göttingen, Germany. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Post Doc with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG) and stationed at the P05 imaging beamline, nanotomography end-station, at the PETRA III storage ring of the Deutsches-Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY), Hamburg, Germany. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a Senior Scientist in X-ray and neutron imaging at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Lund, Sweden, with the mission of assisting both RISE internally and the Swedish industry as a whole, when it came to exploiting the future photon and neutron imaging techniques offered at the MAX IV Synchrotron and at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, as well as at other LSRI:s across the world. Between 2020 to 2022 he worked as a Post Doc and from September 2022 to May 2023 as Researcher and Method Expert in X-ray and Neutron Imaging at the Division of Solid Mechanics and LUNARC, Faculty of Engineering, Lund University, Lund, Sweden, under QIM - Center for Quantification of Imaging Data from MAX IV and the ForMAX-portal - a platform at MAX IV, which will offer access to advanced X-ray methods to the forest industry. His research interests include the usage of both X-ray and neutron tomography/radiography, including image processing and image analysis, applied to research fields ranging from preclinical science, life science, materials science, food science, as well as imaging of medical devices. Since June 2023 he is working as a Researcher/Coordinator at the Department of Experimental Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. More in detail he works as a Coordinator for CIPA (Correlative Image Processing and Analysis), as a Node Coordinator for InfraVis (National Research Infrastructure for Data Visualization) and as a Cross Border Infrastructure Ambassador for HALRIC (Hanseatic Life Science Research Infrastructure Consortium).
