Bio
Her research been published in top academic and management journals and national media publications (NPR, CNN, WSJ, Financial Times, HBR) She recently led in writing a commissioned report for the National Academies of Sciences on the effects of COVID-19 on the work-life boundaries and domestic labor of Women in Academic Science STEMM; and also has written reports on future work life policies for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management; and for nearly a decade worked on the NIH- funded interdisciplinary work family health network to design and evaluate field experiments to reduce work-family conflict in the culture and structure of work. She has been invited to speak in over a dozen countries. Prior to joining Purdue, Dr. Kossek was University Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, the Center for Creative Leadership, Kings College, the University of South Australia, Harvard, and the University of Bologna. Dr. Kossek serves on advisory boards and research teams for centers on work and family, women in leadership, diversity, and workplace equality such as at IESE in Barcelona, Spain and the Science of Diversity Initiative (SODI) at the University of Chicago. She currently teaches classes on leading management of diversity and inclusion and managing global organizational behavior and human resources. A recent Stanford Study rated her in the top 2% of top researchers to the Business and Management field.
