Elizabeth Ellen Zumbrun

Dr. Elizabeth Zumbrun is currently a research microbiologist for the United States Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) where she focuses on filovirus animal models and development of filovirus vaccines and therapeutics. During Dr. Zumbrun’s graduate and post-doctoral studies at Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, she studied herpesvirus neuro-virulence, developing a live herpes simplex virus vaccine and a new animal model for the study of pseudorabies virus
