Bio
As the Research Program Coordinator, Elizabeth reports to the Nurse Scientist and is responsible for assisting with the Nursing Research Committee. In her role, Elizabeth supports nurses to develop enhanced knowledge and skills in research.
Elizabeth has participated in several IRB approved research projects, some of which include ‘Patient and Nurse Perceptions of Discharge Readiness’ and ‘Medication Management: Transition from Hospital to Home’. She has published her work, ‘Using appreciative inquiry during care transitions: an exploratory study’ in the Journal of Nursing Care Quality and 'An integrative review of engaging clinical nurses in nursing research' in the Journal of Nursing Scholarship. Her current research interests include exploring complimentary modalities, such as Reiki therapy, for patient comfort and staff resiliency. Elizabeth is currently the Principal Investigator of the multi-site study "Engaging Clinical Nurses in Research: An Exploratory Study".
Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Delaware and her Masters’ in Business and Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. Before coming to the Department of Nursing Administration in 2010, she worked as a NCIII in the Department of Psychiatry.
