个人简介
My research focuses on the development and application of molecular genetics and genomics to enhance the efficiency and precision of breeding and selection of novel crop varieties with superior characteristics and commercial potential. During my early research career I have developed molecular markers linked to very important agronomical traits for different species including peach, strawberry, apple and potato which have led to numerous publications on peer-reviewed journals. Currently, I play a leadership role in developing tools for marker-assisted selection (MAS) and genomic selection for fruit quality, pest and disease resistances and production traits in apple. My expertise expands across wet lab skills to computer assisted analysis through Bioinformatics. In detail, I got experience in DNA marker development and analysis, linkage map construction, quantitative trait loci mapping and the latest NGS-related-analyses such as de novo assembly, GBS, RNAseq, genome annotation, Exome capture and in vitro CRISPR/Cas9 enrichment between others.
