Bartkienė Elena (date of birth -1975.11.26, place of birth - Kaunas, Lithuania).
Professor at the Department of Food Safety and Quality, Head and Chief Researcher at the Institute of Animal Rearing Technologies, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU).

1994–1998 Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU);
1998–2000 Master’s degree in Food Chemistry and Technology, KTU;
2000–2004 - prepared dissertation at KTU (Lithuania), Vienna University (Austria), VTT – Biotechnology Center (Finland) and Martin Luther University (Germany);
2005 - Doctoral degree in Physical Sciences, Chemistry.

2002–2005 - research assistant, Department of Food Technology, KTU;
2005–2011- lecturer, Department of Food Safety and Animal Hygiene, Lithuanian Veterinary Academy;
2011–2014 - associate professor, Department of Food Safety and Quality, LSMU;
2014 – present - professor, Department of Food Safety and Quality, LSMU;
2018 – present - head and chief researcher, Institute of Animal Rearing Technologies, LSMU.
