Thomas Eggert

Thomas Eggert received the German Diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) and the Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, in 1987 and 1998, respectively. From 1988 to 1991, he worked as a Ph.D. degree student at the Max-Planck-Institute for behavioral research in Seewiesen, Germany, on human visual orientation with respect to gravity. From 1992 to 1995, he worked at the CNRS in Paris, France, on oculomotor control, in particular on the binocular coordination of saccades. Since 1996, he is doing research at the Department of Neurology of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU) on the role of retinal and extraretinal signals for saccade programming and visual localization. Since 2001, he is employed as a Researcher a the LMU and works on spatial localization in perception, eye-movements, and hand-movements.
