Eetu Puttonen received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. He is currently working as a Senior Research Scientist with the Department of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry, Finnish Geospatial Research Institute, Masala, Finland. He is the author or coauthor of over 20 journal and conference articles. His current research interests include multispectral and hyperspectral laser scanning, terrestrial laser scanning, mobile laser scanning, laser scanning time series, and data fusion. Dr. Puttonen is a member of the Centre of Excellence in Laser Scanning Research of the Academy of Finland. He was the recipient of a three-year postdoctoral grant from the Academy of Finland to study “New Applications for Ubiquitous Multi- and Hyperspectral Mobile Mapping Systems” in 2013.
