Dr. Ed Pohl is a Professor and Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas. Ed spent twenty years in the United States Air Force, where he served in a variety of engineering, analysis, and academic positions. Ed received his Ph.D. in systems and industrial engineering from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in reliability engineering from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in systems engineering from AFIT, an M.S. in engineering management from the University of Dayton, and a B.S.E.E. from Boston University. Ed is a Fellow of IISE, a Fellow of SRE, a Fellow of ASEM, a senior member of ASQ, a senior member of IEEE, and member of INFORMS. He is a two-time winner of the Alan Plait award for Outstanding Tutorial at RAMS, as well as a two-time winner of the William A. J. Golomski Award.
