个人简介
His research investigates the hydrogeomorphic processes responsible for analysis of wetland hydrosedimentary dynamics. Edward’s work is strongly based on geospatial technologies, hydrological modeling and statistical methods, in addition to traditional fieldworks in geomorphology. He aims to develop geospatial database on hydrological variables, sediment information and morphometric parameters for analysis of interactions between natural hazards, human impacts, river dynamics and ecosystems, and to contribute to the discussion and implementation of sustainable management of large rivers. He has won several prestigious awards such as National Science Foundation’s DDRIG, AAG’s Gordon Reds Wolman award and the UT-Austin’s Outstanding dissertation award. His research has been published in several prestigious journals including Remote Sensing of Environment, Water Resources Research, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Hydrology, and Nature.
