Edward Fuentealba

Edward Fuentealba Vidal (M’07) was born in Tomé, VIII Region, Chile, in 1972. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Antofagasta, Antofagasta, Chile, in 1999, and the M.S. and Dr. degrees in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, Brazil, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Antofagasta. His current research interests include dc–dc and ac–dc power conversion, power factor correction, power quality, and wind and solar power systems.
