Career Trajectory
Bio
Edoardo Marconi received the bachelor's degree (Hons.) in 2013, the master's degree (Hons.) in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in 2021 from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, all in mechanical engineering.
From 2016 to 2017, he was a Research Fellow with the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padova, studying the numerical simulation of wearable airbags for motorcyclists in collaboration with Dainese SpA. His Ph.D. research (2017–2020) dealt with different topics in vehicle dynamics, such as minimum-lap-time optimal control simulation of racing motorcycles, ride comfort, and two-wheeled vehicle stability. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padova, researching vibration energy harvesting from rain-drop impacts. His research interests include vehicle dynamics and control, modal analysis, multibody simulation, and vibration energy harvesting.
