个人简介
Eliana Vieira is a Junior Researcher at the Center for Microelectromechanical Systems (CMEMS) at University of Minho, with contract under the transitory rule of DL 57/2016. She completed the PhD in Physics in June 2013 at University of Minho, and the BSc Degree in Education of Physics and Chemistry in 2009 at the same University, in which she received 4 awards for the best student of the course. Her research focuses on the investigation, fabrication and application of new nanomaterials for energy harvesting technologies, such as thermoelectric generators, photodetectors, and miniaturized optical sensors. Particular emphasis is placed on structure and properties relationships in nanostructures. During her professional activities, E. M. F. Vieira has supervised 3 MSc dissertations , 3 master grants of FCT projects and 2 students project, that are already finished. E.M.F. Vieira is currently supervising 2 PhD students (FCT grants) related with thermoelectric technology and optical pumped magnetometers. She interacted with 110 national and international co-authors in scientific publications. She is author/co-author of 34 articles in several prestigious international journals (with high impact factor; Q1 and Q2 quartiles), 9 papers as proceedings of scientific meetings, 1 Portuguese Patent and 1 International Patent, having more than 340 citations and h-index of 10. She has international experience from international stays, namely in Italy, Croatia, France, Spain, Romania, Poland and UK with recognized specialists in the scientific area. She has participated as arguer of 11 master academic degrees in different portuguese institutions, as arguer of 3 PhD thesis plans and as monitoring committee of an Eu-funded project (WiPTherm project). She participated in several events (oral and poster presentations in several conferences). She is a scientific reviewer in recognized scientific journals. She was an invited speaker of the Symposium on Advances in Energy Materials at the School of Engineering and Materials science Queen Mary University of London. She was an inviter reviewer of National Fellowship Program-Graduate Woman in Science (2023). She has been enrolled in 6 R&D projects, being a team member of 2 FCT projects related with optical and thermoelectric devices (cooperation with LIPOR company), 2 FCT and M-ERA-NET projects related with development of ferroelectric and oxide thin films for supercapacitors, and as effective collaborator in 2 FCT projects related with neuronal probes for brain activity evaluation and ocean enginnering applications.
