个人简介
I am a geoscientist and business developer with several years of experience in basin evaluation both for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and hydrocarbon exploration as well as opening new business lines around the world. In my past role at CGG, I was having a twofold role as a seismic interpreter and as a business developer reporting to senior management. My main role within the team was to undertake seismic interpretation projects integrating all available legacy and new-acquired data and evaluate the potential of the country as well as re-evaluating existing projects and report the potential to management. I was in charge to evaluate all the South American countries as well as the Caribbean for hydrocarbon exploration and opening the new market for CCS. In addition, I was also part of the team for business development for South American Countries where we secured three projects in three different countries. In all these roles I was reporting directly to senior management of the company. These duties allowed me to apply all the multi-disciplinary skills that I have, to learn new ones as well as interact with different teams within the company. Before joining CGG, I was working as an exploration geologist and data manager at Gas Natural Fenosa being a seismic interpreter and geomodeller both for regional studies and prospect definition in hydrocarbon exploration and production as well as gas storage.
Previously, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher and as external structural geologist consultant in the Geomodels Research Institute and the Geodynamics and Basin Analysis Group both at the University of Barcelona working in the Zagros, Pyrenees and Ebro and Duero foreland basins. I finished the degree in geology in 2009, then, I joined a PhD program obtaining an MSc in 2010 and a PhD, with honours, on July 2014. The subject of PhD was to determine changes in structural style (thick- to thin-skinned) and tectono-stratigraphic relationships in the Basque-Cantabrian Pyrenees in order to assess the potential of this area for Carbon Capture and Storage. I have a strong background in structural geology (inverted, contractional and salt tectonic settings), geophysical interpretation, 2D/3D structural modelling, surface and well data integration, balanced cross-section construction, structural restoration and tectono-stratigraphic analysis. I am familiar with E&P standard platforms for seismic interpretation, well correlation, 3D structural modelling and balanced cross-section construction and restoration (Schlumberger's Petrel, Midland Valley's Move, IHS' Kingdom Suite, Paradigm's GoCad, Ellis Paleoscan).
I actively participated in several research projects both for industry and academia with leadership aptitudes being an enthusiastic team worker with mentoring skills and availability to travel internationally. I keep participating in research and publishing scientific articles as a way to improve my skills and to learn new methodologies that are applied in carbon capture and storage and hydrocarbon exploration. I always keep an optimistic and constructive attitude when facing new challenges. I enjoy meeting new people and I easily adapt to new situations.
