个人简介
Ewart Blackmore (M'98) received the B.Sc. degree in engineering physics from Queen's University, Kingston, ON, Canada, and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear physics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, in 1967.
He joined TRIUMF, Vancouver, in 1969 and is presently Head of the Accelerator Technology Division. His research interests have ranged from accelerator instrumentation to development of detectors and beam lines for particle physics experiments to applications of proton beams in cancer therapy and space radiation effect testing. Since 1995, he has been Project Leader for Canada's $41.5 million contribution of accelerator components to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland, a project that has involved many accelerator technologies including magnets, power supplies, and pulsed power systems.
