I am engaged in studying the vascular anatomy of the human orbit but I also have a good deal of interest in the anatomy of the eye as I wrote a monograph on the matter. In addition I have collaborations to study several aspects dealing with intestinal mucosal immunology using mouse models. More recently, I was engaged in collaborating in investigations on ageing and the effects of ageing on the intestinal homeostasis as well as on the so-called gut-brain axis. Though currently in stand-by, I have worked on the endocrine pancreas and its relations with the exocrine pancreas, and I have a vast experience dealing with human abdominal arterial anatomy
