Bio
Duanyu Chen (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Chaio-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1996, the M.S. degree in computer science from National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2004. From 2004 to 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. From 2009 to 2013, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yuan Ze University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. He is currently a Professor and the Dean with the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, Yuan Ze University. His research interests include computer vision, video signal processing, content-based video indexing and retrieval, and multimedia information system. Prof. Chen was the recipient of the Young Scholar Research Award presented by Yuan Ze University, in 2012.
