Bio
By training I am a metallurgist and microscopist, and I extended my expertise over recent years into the areas of energy storage materials (Li-sulfur batteries, solid-state batteries, reuse and recycling of Li-ion batteries, zinc batteries, fuel cells, and molten salts-assisted electrolysis), collaborating with many UK universities and industrial sectors.
I have applied the non-destructive X-ray imaging techniques to study engineering and energy materials since 2014. With X-ray across multiple lengths and time scale at both laboratory and synchrotron, I have generated numerous research ideas and led significant innovations.
I have been endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering as an Exceptional Promise under the Global Talent scheme.
I hold the STFC Experimental Design Grant and Alan Turing Enrichment Award. I am a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Peer Review College.
