Bio
Dr. Giubellino is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is a board-certified anatomic pathologist and dermatopathologist with a strong research background in tissue/cellular biology and translational research. As a physician-scientist he has worked on several translational and basic science projects, including contributions to the development of cancer biomarkers, xenograft animal (mouse) models of tumor progression and novel therapeutic approaches for a variety of neoplasms. Dr. Giubellino has extensive experience in morphologic recognition and interpretation of multiple formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue and fresh tissue types. He is currently involved in studies focused on spatially-resolved transcriptomics and proteomics in melanoma, as well as digital analysis of morphologic features of tumors in pathology tissue sections.
