Bio
Douglas D. Coolbaugh received the B.S. degree in chemistry from Hobart College, Geneva, NY, USA, and the Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the State University of New York at Binghamton, Binghamton, NY, USA. He worked as an Engineer for IBM for 30 years across the packaging, assembly, materials, RF, and derivatives areas. Since 2010, he has been employed at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute currently as the Associate Vice President of CMOS Derivatives Development focusing on silicon photonics and 3Di research and development. He also serves as the Chief Operating Officer for AIM Photonics and has been a Professor in SUNY Poly's College of Nanoscale Engineering and Technology Innovation. He has been recognized as an IBM Master Inventor with over 130 patents and more than 70 publications.
