Douglas J. Arent

Doug J. Arent received the B.S. degree from Harvey Mudd College, the M.B.A. degree from Regis University, and the Ph.D. degree from Princeton University. He is an Executive Director of the Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, CO, USA. He specializes in strategic planning and financial analysis, clean energy technologies and the interface of energy, water, food, climate and development, and international and governmental policies. He is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Coordinating Lead Author for the 5th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and serves on numerous boards and advisory councils.
