Bio
Dr. Donghoon Kim is an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Cincinnati (UC). He obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University (TAMU) in 2013 after obtaining both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Korea Aerospace University, Republic of Korea. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Land, Air, and Space Robotics Lab. at TAMU, where he was involved in space situational awareness project. Then, he worked as a senior research engineer in the Division of Robotics at LG Electronics, Inc., and conducted research in the areas of robotic systems. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ohio State University. Then, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University, and he established an Autonomous System Research Laboratory. His research interests lie in failure detection, isolation, and reconfiguration of autonomous systems, networked control systems, robotics, and astrodynamics.
