Bio
My research covers nuclear astrophysics, environmental physics as well as nuclear waste studies - all by the means of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS). My main interest lies in the detection of extraterrestrial signatures by AMS. I'm familiar with AMS measurements on most AMS isotopes and specialized to 53Mn, 60Fe and 99Tc with a gas-filled magnet detection system. I'm part of the AMS group at ANU, Australia and at HZDR, Germany for a PhD project about coincindent 60Fe and 244Pu signals in geologically old marine samples for stellar nucleosynthesis. I participate in active research collaborations with ANSTO, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Vienna, Alfred-Wegener Institute and Technical University of Munich and the Maier-Leibnitz-Laboratory.
