个人简介
I have always loved mathematics, biology, and computers, and to combine them at the molecular level in the study of biological systems is a truly fascinating area of research. While doing my Bachelor’s in engineering, I was enthralled by computational systems that could model biological activity and simulate their response under different operational conditions. I learned programming to understand the codes that model biological functions in order to create the environment that would mimic real time systems and explain complexities of the biological phenomenon. Through my research experiences in college and during doctoral research work, I learned that studying the genomics of microbial systems allows one to address many real life problems and help tune the microbe to our own benefits for production of valuable commodity products by greener non-synthetic routes.
