个人简介
Dinghao Wu is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University. He currently holds the PNC Technologies Career Development Professorship. His research is in software systems, including software security, software protection, software analysis and verification, software engineering, and programming languages. His research has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), Office of Naval Research (ONR), and Department of Energy (DOE). He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Princeton University in 2005. He was a research engineer at Microsoft in the Center for Software Excellence and later the Windows Azure Division from 2005--2009. He received the NSF CAREER Award, George J. McMurtry Junior Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award, and College Junior Faculty Excellence in Research Award.
His work has been tweeted and covered by other media. He has also open sourced a number of research software prototypes and some of them have been adopted in the field. The IFC importer has been adopted by OpenStudio, a building energy simulation platform developed by DOE National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Uroboros has been adopted by several labs and academic research groups. In particular, the Uroboros method has been adopted and enhanced by the University of California Santa Barbara team (Shellphish) for efficient binary code patching in the 2016 DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge (CGC) competition; Shellphish won the 3rd place.
While at Microsoft, he worked on a number of influential and massively deployed program analysis and verification tools. His KISS work pioneered sequentialization, a program analysis and verification technique for checking concurrency properties using sequential program analysis, and has been followed by many researchers.
