He has been working in Atmospheric Physics for 15 years mostly emphasizing on aerosol optical, physical and chemical properties over climatic sensitive areas, like the eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and south Asia. Main achievement is the introduction of a new meteorology/climatology index, named Caspian Sea – Hindu Kush Index (CasHKI), which is strongly related to wind field and dust activity over the southwest Asia. He has published 105 articles in scientific journals with more than 2100 citations by others [H-index = 27, H-10 = 60; Feb 2019], he has more than 100 presentations in National (Greek) and International conferences, 2 Book Chapters and he has served as reviewer in many scientific journals.
