Dietmar Drummer

Dietmar Drummer was born in Forchheim, Germany, in 1971. He received the Diploma degree in processing technologies from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), in 1997, and received the Ph.D. degree in 2004. From 1997 to 2004, he was a Scientific Assistant with the Institute of Polymer Technology, FAU, and having written on the processing and properties of polymer-bonded permanent magnets. From 2004 to 2009, he was the Head of Technology Management and the Senior Vice President with Oechsler AG, Ansbach, Germany. At the same time, he was a Lecturer with FAU. He serves currently as a Tenured Professor and has been the Head of the Institute of Polymer Technology since 2009. He has been involved in several Bavarian and German research and development projects since 1997. Furthermore, he has a multidisciplinary background relevant to the institute’s project objectives as evidenced by over 200 publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings. He has been a Visiting Professor with the East China University of Science and Technology (Shanghai) since 2012. He is the Speaker for the Collaborative Research Center 814–Additive Manufacturing.s
