Bio
Dr. Dickson Kindole received a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science of compound semiconductors from Hokkaido University, Japan in March 2020. A Master of Science degree in Information Science and Manufacturing Engineering from the Ashikaga Institute of Technology, Japan, in March 2017, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in December 2009. Currently, he has been working as a semiconductor R&D at the Novel Crystal Technology company (NCT), in Japan, since April 2020. In NCT he has been engaged in the research of growth and advanced characterization of gallium oxide epitaxial wafers for power devices application. From April 2017, he worked as a Junior Researcher at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), in Japan. In NIMS, he engaged in the growth and advanced characterization of functional materials (GaN, InGaN, Mg/ZnO) with the High Magnetic Field Physics Group where he achieved outstanding results that led to a PhD award from the Hokkaido University. Previously, He worked as an industrial researcher at the Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO), in Tanzania. In SIDO he engaged in the research of appropriate technology and materials relevant for small and medium industries. His work at SIDO was recognized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency which invited him to go to Japan to conduct research at the Ashikaga Institute of Technology. Before joining SIDO, he worked as a field service engineer at Mantrac Tanzania Limited.
Dr. Kindole’s research interests include basic research on the growth and advanced characterization/analysis of next-generation semiconductors such as GaN, InGaN, Ga2O3, and TiO2 for applications in power electronics and renewable energy. Skilled in the Device fabrication process, Functional material growth, magneto-resistance, Hall effect, cyclotron resonance, and magneto-spectroscopy measurements for research of attractive functional materials. His work has been chronicled in several journal and conference publications.
