个人简介
Diana Julião graduated in 2011 and concluded her MSc degree in 2013, both in Chemistry at Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP). During its MSc thesis she developed a variety of heterogeneous catalysts based on polyoxometalates and metal-organic frameworks for catalytic application. In 2019 Diana concluded her PhD in the area of homogeneous catalysis and desulfurization of fuels. In the last years, Diana developed her expertise in the preparation of various polyoxometalates and coordination metal compounds for application in different oxidative catalytic systems, but mainly in oxidative desulfurization technology. Her PhD resulted from a collaboration work between important Portuguese research groups (CICECO – Aveiro institute of Materials and Laboratório Associado para a Química Verde - REQUIMTE (LAQV@REQUIMTE) from distinct universities and also with the Portuguese refinery company Galp. Her PhD had as main target the development of novel catalytic systems based on sustainable experimental conditions for efficiently reduce the level of sulfur in fuels (diesel, gasoline and jet fuel) provided by Galp. From her PhD work resulted 8 published articles. From 2019 to 2021 she was a researcher at LAQV@REQUIMTE of a financed FCT project (PTDC/CTM-CTM/31983/2017) in the area of oxidative catalytic processes to transform glycerol into high-value fine chemicals. Combining her interest and jnowledge about green chemistry and sustainabe procedures, she is currently working as R&D engineer at VGCoLAB - Energy storage, developing electrolytes and electrodes for batteries and supercapacitors.
Diana is the author of 26 papers and 1 chapter book in international peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 14 and with 764 citations. Diana also regularly contributes as peer-reviewer for some high-quality scientific journals (https://publons.com/researcher/1309392/diana-juliao/) and contributed during 2020/2021 as guest-editor for Catalysts journal (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/catalysts/special_issues/catalytic_desulfurization).
