个人简介
Dian’s research interests include health systems assessment (performance, financing, service delivery), health reform, policy impact evaluations (experimental and non-experimental methods), non-communicable disease prevention and control (cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and risk factors), and tobacco control in low and middle-income countries.
At Harvard University, prior to joining Imperial College London, he was a postdoctoral research associate working on the Malaysia Health Systems Research, a collaboration with the Government of Malaysia. He conducted a comprehensive health systems assessment and designed a large-scale mixed-methods cluster-randomized impact evaluation of the enhanced primary health care (EnPHC) intervention towards tackling cardiovascular risk factors.
At Imperial, he is working on the NIHR Global Health Research Unit project aiming to create an inter-disciplinary environment that fosters the development and implementation of acceptable, equitable, efficient, scalable and sustainable approaches to reduce the burden of type-2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka).
He obtained his Doctor of Science in global health and population with major in health systems and minor in economics from Harvard, Master of Public Health from Royal Tropical Institute Amsterdam, and Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Indonesia.
