Bio
Xuefei (Nancy) Deng is a Professor of Information Systems in the College of Business Administration and Public Policy at California State University, Dominguez Hills, a minority-serving four-year public university. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research areas include crowdsourcing, technology affordance, IT workforce, STEM career for first-generation college students, and social inclusion. Her research has appeared in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, Decision Support Systems, and Information Technology & People. Nancy is a co-Principal Investigator on a $5.3M NTIA grant for the Connecting Minority Communities pilot program. She serves as Associate Editor of Information Systems Journal and Information and Organization. Nancy has served as guest editor for the HICSS special issue of ACM Transactions on Social Computing for three years (2018-2020). Currently she serves as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the scholarly journal, The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems.
