个人简介
A Darwin fellow who aims to investigate host-pathogen interaction using Drosophila as a model organism. I am a final-year graduate student in the Hidalgo lab, School of Biosciences, University of Birmingham, UK. I am investigating how pathogens interact with the brain and cause neurodegeneration using Drosophila as a model organism. I am proficient in Drosophila genetics, Drosophila brain dissections (Adult, Pupae and larvae), Immunostaining, qRT-PCR, confocal microscopy, behavioural experiments (Proboscis extension response PER, climbing assay and feeding assay) and fungal/bacterial cultures. I also work as a part-time technician in Brogna's lab, the School of Biosciences, UoB, UK.
