个人简介
Dr. Deb Roeber VanOverbeke graduated from Ashland-Greenwood High School in 1992. She attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her B.S. in Animal Science, with a minor in Agriculture Leadership in 1996. During her undergraduate career she was an undergraduate teaching assistant, a student worker, completed an internship with Nebraska Cattlemen and was active in student organizations, specifically Block and Bridle.
After earning her B.S., she worked for Nebraska Cattlemen in the area of producer education. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Science, with a meat science focus, from Colorado State University in 2000 and 2002, respectively. After 3 years on faculty at the University of Minnesota, Deb joined the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at Oklahoma State University in 2005. As a faculty member in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences, she moved through the ranks from Assistant to Full Professor. She had active teaching and research programs when in the Department.
Currently, Deb is the Assistant Dean for Academic Programs in the Ferguson College of Agriculture at Oklahoma State University. In this position, she is responsible for areas such as student development, faculty development and support, as well as scholarship development. Her teaching and research efforts at Oklahoma State University have been recognized by the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture, American Society of Animal Science and the American Meat Science Association.
