David Umbaugh

My ongoing doctoral research is aimed at understanding the signaling network between cells in liver injury and disease, using insights from scRNAseq data to guide wet lab experiments and identify novel therapeutic strategies that enhance the innate capacity for repair. To explore this, I integrate molecular and systems biology approaches, including data mining, single-cell transcriptomics, FACs (in combination with RNAseq), and a battery of assays in vivo and in vitro.
