My research focus is the spatial modelling of forest systems. This includes modelling of Tree Species Site Suitability (TSSS) and the mapping of the right tree in the right place in the landscape. I also undertake research in the calculation of timber, carbon, and bioenergy values. Another focus is the modelling and mapping of forestry soils, the spectral analysis of soil and foliar samples, and the modelling of erosion hazards like debris flows within forestry catchments.
