David R. Myers (S'06–M'11) received the B.S. degree in physics and mechanical engineering (dual major) from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, in 2004, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. His thesis topic was on microelectromechanical systems resonant strain sensor integration. He is currently with The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology–Emory University, Atlanta. His current research interests include applying microtechnology to study the mechanics of cellular systems.
