Bio
Dr. Gilland’s research focuses on the development of novel instrumentation and image processing algorithms for molecular imaging applications, specifically, positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Recent work has involved the development of a new gamma camera for 3D molecular imaging of breast cancer. The ultimate goal of this work is to improve the accuracy of screening methods for breast cancer.
