Bio
Dr. Nikolic-Paterson's research focuses on identifying the underlying mechanisms of inflammation and fibrosis related to kidney diseases and kidney transplant rejection. In particular, his work focuses on the signal pathways in white blood cells, intrinsic kidney cells and fibroblasts. Methods combining human and experimental kidney diseases, including conditional gene deletion, cell culture research and selective kinase inhibitors, have identified many therapeutic targets, which are not only related to progressive kidney diseases, but also related to chronic fibrosis diseases.
