Bio
David's current research interests include nursing home and assisted living quality, community programs to serve frail elders, long term care facility response to hurricane disasters, nursing home infections, and pharmacoepidemiology in the elderly. His research awards and commendations include a Merck New Investigator Award in 2006 through the American Geriatrics Society. He has also been a Hartford Foundation Scholar and a recipient of a Career Development Award from the Veteran's Administration for research related to Medication Errors in long term care. Dr. Dosa is the New York Times bestselling author of Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat. The book has been published in over 20 countries worldwide.
