David M. Dilts received the Ph.D. degree in production/operations management and management sciences from the University of Oregon, Eugene, in 1983. He is currently a Professor and Director of Engineering Management Program at the School of Engineering, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, where he is also a Professor of Management at the Owen Graduate School of Management. Prior to this, he was a Professor of Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. He is the author or coauthor of several papers published in international journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Health Economics, the Journal of Technology Transfer, and the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, and the Journal of Innovative Education, and, among others. His current research interests include application of novel techniques to solve real-world problems in healthcare, manufacturing, and supply chains.
