I received the B.Sc. degree in computer engineering in 2002 and the Ph.D. in Information Technology Engineering in 2007 from the University of Salento, Italy. From 2002 to 2006 I’ve been team member of the Center for Advanced Computing Technologies division of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of the University of Salento and I’ve been also lecturing on computer science fundamentals in undergraduate programmes. From 2006 to june 2008 I worked as researcher in the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Changes (Italy) involved in the design of the computational infrastructure and I’ve been consultant of the SPACI (Southern Partnership for Advanced Computing Infrastructure) consortium, Italy. My research covers High Performance, Distributed and Grid Computing and programming models. I partecipated in the EC funded projects GridLab, CoreGRID, BEinGRID and OGF-Europe. Since july 2008 I am a researcher in the department of Computer Science, Grid computing and clusters of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
