Bio
Daniel M. Mulvihill received the D.Phil. degree in engineering science from the University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K., in 2012.
He subsequently undertook post-doctoral periods at the University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland; EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland; and the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., before joining the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, U.K., in 2016, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer (an Associate Professor) in mechanical engineering. He also leads a major $1.5 M EPSRC Project on next-generation textile triboelectric nanogenerators. His interests are mainly focused on materials engineering and tribology.
Dr Mulvihill was an Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Tribology Trust Bronze Medalist in 2013. He is also an Associate Editor of Results in Engineering (Elsevier) and a Novel Materials Editor of Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier).
