Daniel Reidpath

Daniel D Reidpath is Director of the Institute for Global Health and Development at Queen Margaret University in Scotland. From 2019 to June 2022 he was the Senior Director of the Health and Population Stidies Division at icddr,b. He retains an adjunct professorial appointment at Monash University, Malaysia. He held the position of Professor for Population Health at Monash University Malaysia from 2009-2019 and was the establishing Director of the South East Asia Community Observatory; the only health and demographic surveillance system (HDSS) in Malaysia. Prior to that, he was the inaugural Chair of Public Health at Brunel University, West London. Daniel is a Social Epidemiologist and has worked extensively in the measurement of population health, health systems, social marginalisation, and equity.
