Damiano Baldan

My reaserch focuses on aquatic landscape ecology. I try to: i) develop indicators to charachterize seascape and riverscape structure; ii) link these indicators with biodiversity (e.g. species distribution, community structure); iii) explore how different pressures alter the landscape in the future and the cascading effects on biodiversity. So far I worked mostly with longitudinal barriers in river systems, I recently started with seagrasses in the Mediterranean.
