Bio
I have a wide background in optics and photonics research, starting with the design and fabrication of microphotonic structures such as photonic crystals and metasurfaces, and transitioning to building complex 3D imaging systems using a variety of high-speed beam shaping techniques. My current research focuses on exploring methods for recovering images under less than ideal circumstances, e.g. through complex media such as multimode optical fibres, or using complex basis sets for use in a single pixel imaging setting. My research interests are much broader and include among other areas: imaging, vision and Lidar; nanophotonics, metamaterials and photonic crystals; light transport in complex media and exotic beam shapes; etc.
